Supercapacitors and conventional batteries are combined in a sports car to avoid high power output from conventional batteries. There are currently three types of supercapacitors: electric double layer supercapacitors, hybrid supercapacitors, and battery-like supercapacitors. The most basic is the electric double layer supercapacitor, which has an energy density of about 5-10 watt-hours/kg, a power density of more than 6000 watts/kg, a particularly long charge-discharge cycle life, and about 1 million charge-discharge cycles. At the same time it is resistant to low temperatures and can be used at -40 °C. "Super capacitors not only have ultra-high charge-discharge efficiency, but the ratio of discharged power to charged power can reach 98% or more, far higher than conventional batteries, basically how much to put, and its process performance is also very good. It can charge and discharge quickly, but its shortcomings are also obvious, that is, the energy density is relatively low, only 5-10 watts/kg, while the lead-acid battery can reach 30 watt-hours/kg, and the lithium battery is more than 100 watt-hours/kg. ”
